Working as a Ski Instructor in New Zealand

New Zealand is a beautiful country and the skiing there can be great.  New Zealand have four difference level’s of ski instructor, Levels 1-3 and then the ISIA qualification.  You can able to teach in New Zealand with your BASI Level 2 qualification as this converts over to the NZSIA Level 2.

What qualifications do I need to work in New Zealand?

A work permit will be needed for an non NZ resident wanting to work in New Zealand.  Instructors will need to apply for a job at the relevant ski school and once a job offer and contract have been received the ski school will them apply for a work permit for the instructor.  The instructor can not start teaching until the work permit has been received.
