As with all ski resorts, accommodation is hard to find in St Anton. We advise that you budget carefully for your accommodation and make sure you understand the full costs involved before committing. We can provide you with any accommodation leads we have, but it will ultimately be your responsibility to find yourself a home.
Sharing generally helps to keep costs lower and we would be happy to circulate the details of other team members. There will also be a Facebook group to help with this on our internal Facebook system.
We will also assist with details of how to register yourself and your accommodation with the local authorities upon arrival.
There are many supermarkets in and around St Anton which offer a wide range of foods, including sandwiches and other takeaway food for a quick and cheap lunch. In the resort, there are many bars and restaurants, ranging from very cheap (you can buy a burger for around €6) to very fancy (think Sushi!). You’ll be spoilt for choice, and can choose how much you spend.
As the lift pass is not part of the training package you will have to buy the season lift pass, which will be approximately 900€.
During the day there are many free buses that regularly go to and from all towns around the resort (St. Anton, St. Christoph, St. Jakob, Pettneu, Schnann, Flirsch, Strengen). After 6 pm buses are generally €2.90 and run all evening.
If you would like to work in St Anton, you must obtain a work permit before arriving in Austria. Send us a message if you’d like more information on how to go about this process.
Our busiest weeks are Christmas, New Years, February Half Term and Easter, so you will mainly working during these times. Outside of the peak weeks, you will be available for work when not training.
If you wish to work in other roles during the course, this is also possible if you have the work permit we suggested above. Bar work and cleaning are not the most glamorous jobs but pay well and usually fit with the course schedule.
Note: Before applying, students must have completed the BASI Level 2 qualification and successfully applied to have their qualification recognised in the Tirol region.
