We know that one of the most important parts of creating a successful residential ski instructor training course is the accommodation and food. A good nights sleep, somewhere comfortable to relax in your downtime and a tasty meal to keep your energy up to make sure you can keep up on and off the slopes. For this reason, all our students stay in chalets, not hotels or apartments. You all eat together in your teams with home-cooked meals prepared by your host. Breakfast is supplied every day with lunch, dinner and even afternoon tea five days a week.
Chalet Casse Noix has five twin rooms, each with a bathroom. A massive open plan living area and a ski room equipped with servicing benches. The living area is the perfect chill out area, with huge comfy sofas, British TV and Wifi. Once spring rolls around, there is also a garden for chilling in the sun. Don’t take our word for it though – check out the video.
During the program, you’ll work towards your BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) Level 1 & 2. BASI offers a great route into the industry, with the Level 2 being recognised in ski schools around the globe, from right here in Europe to Japan, New Zealand and China to name a few.
The BASI level 2 will open doors to teaching clients of all ages on marked runs within the resort boundary. If you are looking at doing this programme as part of a gap year, then the BASI 2 has a few added benefits. It is aligned with the EQF (European Qualifications Framework) meaning you can use it to help secure access to further education. You will also find that during your university holidays there are plenty of opportunities to head out to the Alps and teach during the peak weeks.
Choosing the right course for you is an essential part of the process and will make your experience far more rewarding. If this course is not quite right then why not look at some of our other ski instructor courses?
