Performance and Adventure
There are very few, if any, resorts in Europe that beat Verbier as a base for our Performance and Adventure courses. Our Coaching team is made up of some of the highest qualified instructors in Verbier many are BASI Examiners. All hold specialist off-piste and Freestyle qualifications and are perfectly placed to help you make massive changes to your skiing.
We tailor the training to our students with much more individual coaching and the smallest groups for coaching of any provider in Verbier. Our flexible training meets the needs of our students rather than being a one size fits all programme.
As with all of our long residential courses, Avalanche equipment is included as standard. Avalanche safety and rescue training are essential skills for any aspiring Freeriders. Our team focus on developing these skills throughout the course, and by the end of the programme, you will be able to safely navigate off-piste without a guide.
During the programme, you will spend time race training in gates/stubbies on the Bruson Stade, in the park with Freestyle coaches, in the bumps, working on Piste-Performance and off-course skiing some of the incredible Freeride Terrain that Verbier has to offer.
This combination of training helps you work towards the type of skiing you see in Freeride Competitions. Making you comfortable in the air, skiing at speed and in all conditions.

You will arrive on Monday the 28th of November. Unless we have seen abnormal snow fall the resort will still be shut.
On Tuesday our team will take you to our resort partner Ski Service to organise your skis and boots. In the afternoon there will be an introduction to the course, our trainers and the online resources available to you.
On Wednesday and Thursday, you will do your 2-day outdoor first aid course. On Friday you will practise Avalanche Safety and rescue drills.
Your on-snow training then begins on Saturday morning and we hit the ground running with all the off-snow and admin stuff done and dusted so no one misses any time on snow.
This week focuses on more adventurous technical skiing. You will spend 3 days in the gates on the stade. Practising slalom turns, controlling speed and line with ex-racers. In the afternoons we’ll focus on teaching sessions and technical understanding. Towards the end of the week, we’ll begin putting into practice the off-piste safety training and avalanche rescue.
This is a 4-day training and assessment course, with online learning pre-requisites.
The Ski Level 1 Instructor is the entry-level course for students who wish to join the BASI Education System. This qualification is ideal for those wishing to find employment in a UK snowsports centre. Level 1 qualified instructors may work within a controlled environment in a UK snowsports centre or in a mountain environment within a recognised snowsports school, under the direct supervision of a BASI L2 qualified instructor (equivalent or higher).
You will spend the morning skiing Off-Piste Skiing and the afternoon’s Park Skiing or Race training on the stade.
This is a fun week. We park some of the technical training to increase the tempo and practise skiing with more fluidity and style. You will spend time On and Off-Piste dependent on the conditions.
In order to successfully complete your BASI 1 you need to do 35 hours of Ski School Shadowing. We complete that during half term and you will help our full time team with our Kids Ski lessons.
This week is all about high paced, high energy skiing on the piste. We’ll focus on speed, line and pressure to stay in control when speeds pick up. We will also play in the park developing our tricks. This is a prime opportunity to try a backflip or 360. Our instructors can help you build confidence and break down the movements to help you land perfectly.
This week focuses on staying safe off-piste. However, we are not just focusing on avalanche safety. You will spend time ski touring, working on map reading and navigation, refining your avalanche awareness and learning some basic rope work. By the end of the week you should be happy to lead a group off-piste, safely choose a route and follow it using just a map and perform advanced rescue techniques including crevasse rescue with ropes.
Our Coaching team will spend time addressing any holes left in your skiing. Our aim in this is to polish all of the work we have done over the last 8 weeks.
It’s time to show off and put everything you have learnt into practise. Your coaches will take you on some iconic off-piste routes and tours to test you new skills. Make sure your phones are charged as you will want to take plenty of photos.
