Eating Out
L’Elephant, Le Praz (£) – Just a stone’s throw from our gap chalet in the centre of Le Praz, this gem serves huge burgers and traditionally fired pizzas, as well as French dishes. With band nights on Tuesdays and Fridays, it also doubles as an excellent night venue too.
La Petit Savoyard, 1650 (££) – A classic, traditional Savoyarde restaurant, this is a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike. Fondue, raclette and pierrade all come with piles of potatoes, salad and charcuterie meaning you definitely won’t go hungry.
La Chabichou, 1850 (£££) – A 2 Michelin starred restaurant at the heart of the resort. You can dine out on the terrace or indoors – you can even reserve one of the chef’s tables in the kitchen and watch the chefs at work. The wine menu is excellent and chosen by a talented sommelier. Make sure to ask for a recommendation.
Apres & Nightlife
With five separate villages to choose from, there are plenty of places to go once you’ve peeled off those thermals.
Funky Fox, 1650 – A seasonaire favourite, it’s open until the small hours and serves food before the evening rush. There are often live DJs in the evenings as well as acoustic afternoon sets out on the terrace during the day.
Le Jardin, Le Praz – Formerly the Drop Inn, le Jardin is a cosy pub / wine bar with a pool table situated down the hill in Le Praz. Every evening has it’s own deal – Wine Wednesday is our favourite!
La Folie Douce, Meribel – Everyone knows about La Folie Douce! Easily the most famous apres bar in Europe, they start the party at 1 pm with live music and dancers. You haven’t “done” the 3 Valleys until you’ve danced on a table at La Folie. They even give you a nice reminder to get the gondola back to Courchevel at 4:15 pm!

On Sunday, New Generation Verbier Ski Instructors Amy and Gordon skied Mont Fort, in Verbier. It was the first time in 26 years the […]
After Your Course
Hi, my name is Emma and I work as the Instructor Course Administrator at New Generation. The best part about my job is seeing the progression of students; watching them book on to a course with us, pass their exams and then move on to further training or to teach is very rewarding. After Your […]
